COVINGTON, La. —

As of late Saturday night, at least four people have died and
several others are injured after a deadly wreck on an
interstate, Louisiana State Police said.

State police said two semitrailers were involved in the wreck on
I-12 East and caught fire. One truck was carrying avocados and
another lemon juice. They said the wreck occurred on a bridge
and involved other cars.

Police continue to investigate if there were any structural
impacts to the bridge.
