Exit polls published after Ireland's referendum on abortion suggest a
large vote in favour of liberalising the law.

Polls by The Irish Times and RTÉ suggest about 69% voted to repeal a
part of the constitution that effectively bans terminations.

I saw something similar. If it actually turns out
to be true, the worst scourge humanity has ever
foist upon itself will have gotten worse.
Very sad.

Republic of Ireland abandoning religion faster than almost every other
country in the world

Worldwide, only Vietnam experienced a greater drop in those describing
themselves as religious

The Irish commitment to the Catholic religion is fast draining away,
according to a new poll which points to a dramatic plunge in those who
regard themselves as religious.

Worldwide, only Vietnam experienced a greater drop in those describing
themselves as religious in a poll which extended to 57 countries,
covering three-quarters of the world's population.

The survey confirms that Ireland, once regarded as particularly devout,
has been almost transformed from the days when the Catholic church
exercised both political power and strong social influence.

Very true, you'll all do it by yourselves.
Christianity in Europe is dying out as young people turn away from the
church, research says.

A majority of 16 to 29-year-olds do not follow a religion across the
continent, with the Czech Republic the least religious among this age
group, experts found.

The breakdown of religious affiliation in 22 European countries shows
that more than two thirds of young Britons have no religious affiliation.

Exit polls published after Ireland's referendum on abortion
suggest a large vote in favour of liberalising the law.
Polls by The Irish Times and RTÉ suggest about 69% voted to
repeal a part of the constitution that effectively bans
terminations.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-44241521
I saw something similar.  If it actually turns out
to be true, the worst scourge humanity has ever
foist upon itself will have gotten worse.
Very sad.
It's taken a while, but Ireland is slowly bringing itself
into the 21st century.
More and more Irish are shunning religion.
You mean the first century don't you?  This is what
the Romans did.  This is a horrible step back in time.
As the world becomes more educated, people are turning away from
religion....fact.
yes and no.  These things tend to go in waves.  You
are never going to get rid of us.
 >
 > Very true, you'll all do it by yourselves.
Christianity in Europe is dying out as young people turn away
from the church, research says.
A majority of 16 to 29-year-olds do not follow a religion across
the continent, with the Czech Republic the least religious among
this age group, experts found.
The breakdown of religious affiliation in 22 European countries
shows that more than two thirds of young Britons have no
religious affiliation.

These thing ebb and flow.  You will never be rid of us.  Good thing for you
as we affect societies we live in a a positive manner: charities,
extra freedom,
etc.
There will be a revival.  Russia is in he midst of a YUGE revival
after the worst persecution in Christian history.  I will come.
Don't be too broken hearted.
I've just showed you the facts that religion is dying out in the
world, yet you are still in denial (not the river).
Ebbs and flow.  Slows one place and revives in another.  This is not
new.  Don't get your hopes up.  We are here to stay.
How about you find someone other than God to hate?  By the way,
you act like you do believe in him, you just hate him.
Maybe you could hate the French for a while?
"hate god"? Now what sane person would hate someone or something
that doesn't exist?
Hate is not in my makeup. Hate is destructive, most of all to the
person who hates.
Yes, true.  So why are you at war with believers?  Why do
you post garbage like the above?  Why are you always posting
negative snotty stuff about believers?
So what is with the hate if there is noting to hate?
And is the UK really THAT boring that you waste such YUGE amounts
of time on us?  Anything happening with Brexit?
*Another* diversion detected!
True. Since you will only answer a tiny fraction of my questions,
I was trying to get you to troll on another subject.

That will all change when there is another war. There are no atheists in foxholes when the bullets are flying. When I was a little kid, I couldn't understand why people were hurting me when I questioned what they were teaching about religion. I was six years old when my opinion was set in stone after Sister Godzilla picked me up by the ear. God loves you but will kill you if you misbehave. That struck me as idiotic when I was a small child. I caused a lot of anger among my teachers when I was small because I had a keen sense of what hypocrisy was and I would question what I was being told. If you question dogma it will bite you. I don't like people who hurt children. o_O

Indeed.
This quote from your link just about sums it up:

Army National Guard Specialist Joseph Couch
Specialty: Aviation Operations
Dates of Service: 2013 - present

There is no afterlife; this life is all we have. While some may think
this is reason never to endanger oneself in the military I believe they
are wrong. I enlisted to help people so that they can live their lives.
Whether I help by rebuilding after a tornado, assisting pilots on a safe
mission, or someday helping negotiate peace, it's always better to work
for something than to pray for it.

I heard that too. Actually, he will turn his back on you.
And after having a personal relationship with him, that
is devastating.
I was six years old and I couldn't understand why people hurt me when I questioned what they were telling me about religion. To me, that was devastating and formed my opinion of organized religion. It made me despise people who hurt and abused children. I hate their guts to this day and I would never let people like that touch a kid of mine. o_O

In Orthodoxy, we have a saying: "Religion is caught, not taught."
If they have wanted you to be religious, they should have followed
Jesus teaching themselves, not just blowing smoke.

Kids pick up on hypocrisy REAL FAST.

I would not expose my children to that either. And if by
accident, one of us would be going to prison and one
of us would be going to the hospital.

When I was a little kid being tortured by nuns, if I came home with a bloody stump instead of an arm, it was my fault because I must have done something wrong. That was the attitude of my parents and the reason they never saw me again when I finally got away from them and went out on my own. I don't like people who hurt children. o_O

Why does that sound so familiar? My parents never believed
a thing I told them, so I eventually did not. I was
completely estranged from them after about age 20.
Guess they couldn't figure out why I did not trust them.

I never married so I have no biological children "that I know of" but I've been adopted by a lot of little kids. One of my little girlfriends I've known since she was a bump in her mom's belly got on the phone with me from Chicago one day. It was her seventh birthday and I'd called to wish her a happy birthday. She reached through the phone and ripped my heart out. She said, "Uncle Monster when are you gonna come see me?" OMG! It was rough because there was no way I could afford to travel from Birmingham to Chicago for a visit. My little girlfriend is in her late 20's now and I've lost track of her and her mom. I may be able to find them again if I had some spare $$$ to do a proper search. Her parents had divorced and I think her father may still live in Birmingham so I'll have to start by contacting old friends here in town who may know something. A lot of us have known each other for at least 40 years. Gosh, we were young once! o_O

Exit polls published after Ireland's referendum on abortion
suggest a large vote in favour of liberalising the law.
Polls by The Irish Times and RTÉ suggest about 69% voted to repeal
a part of the constitution that effectively bans terminations.

I saw something similar.  If it actually turns out
to be true, the worst scourge humanity has ever
foist upon itself will have gotten worse.
Very sad.
It's taken a while, but Ireland is slowly bringing itself into the
21st century.

I don't like people who hurt children. o_O

You see a lot of resurgence where there is persecution.
Russia can not build churches fast enough after the worst
persecution in Christian history. Christianity is alive and
well and very, very much persecuted in North Korea.
Christianity and the ChiComs have a very testy relationship.

And a lot of this is religoun as an association. Now that
Anti-Christianity is the new Anti-Semitism, those that
follow Gleichschaltung (Nazi for "conformity", now called
"Political Correctness) are suddenly not Christians.

When Liberals (they called them Communists or perhaps "Social
Democrats") took over Russia and Atheism was politically
correct, you found out who the actual believers were and
who was using it as an association.

In reality, we have always been in the minority. You
can look at Russia as an example. Being (sort of)
Orthodox my self, I have come across a few Russian
Orthodox folks in my life as well as being exposed
to their saints and their writings.

These are the sweetest, nicest folks you will even come
in contact with. Russia was considered a Christian
country. Well, not so much, looking at the absolute
evil the Atheists did under the Soviet Empire.
Actual Christians have always been in the minority.

Lady gets around! Just exactly how could she be in two
places at once? Yikes!

And she apparently did not read the part in the Bible about
bringing tribulation into a child's life and the thing about
it being better to have a millstone tied around your neck
and being thrown in the deepest part of the sea.

These mean woman also did not read the part about children
being made in God image and likeness.

This is what happens when you keep the outside of the cup
clean and ignore the inside. Jesus cares very much about
the inside of the cup. Sure, put on the robes and go
terrorize children.

The rapture is a recent "innovation" and not Christian teaching.
It is also considered to be heresy.

The Rapture is based on a misreading of I THESS. 4:13-18, MATT.
24:39-42 and JN. 14:1-2.

The actual Christian teaching is MATT. 24:21-22

For then there will be great tribulation, such as has
not been since the beginning of the world until this
time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those
days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but
for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

-- Matthew 24:21-22 (NKJV)

All it say is that believers will get less tribulation.

So you approve of killing chidren.
Not surprised.
And turning the clock back over 2000 years to the debauchery
of the Romans, where children where aborted and babies
were "discarded", especially if they were girls.

This is a terrible setback for humanity and human rights.

Very sad for all humans.
