Interesting, if an enemy nation state had planted a puppet as
president of the United States, one of the first things they would do
would be to have their puppet marginalize US intelligence agencies,
especially when those intelligence agencies have their country,
dead-to-rights.

In the Navy, there's an expression commonly heard to describe many
people's feeling about how useful re-organizations are. Rather than
identifying and dealing with actual deficiencies, the bureaucracy doing
the re-organization is said to be re-arranging the deck chairs on the
Titanic.

We had slightly more colorful ways of expressing similar sentiments in
the Corps.

However, in this case, I am certain that "revamp" is a euphemism for
hamstring or render ineffectual.

US intelligence agencies get a lot of criticism from idiots like
Trump. When you can't or won't discuss your successes; your enemies
can criticize you ad nauseam, paint you with a shit covered brush and
assign you an undeserved bad reputation.

All by itself, the ELINT espionage conducted by USN submarines, in
concert with the CIA and NSA have probably saved the world, a half
dozen times, from nuclear Armageddon.

And does anyone believe Trump has really analyzed what is going
on with US intel before starting to change it? He hasn't even
had his briefing on what US intel has on the Russian hacking,
he refuses almost all of his presidential briefings. Very, very
troubling. You're right, he's acting like someone with an agenda
other than making US intel better. To make it better, you'd have
to dig into it, understand it, figure it all out. To destroy it,
no such analysis is necessary.

Trump being an ignoramus likely doesn't know what happened to the
last president that went to war with CIA.

I have been watching this pretty closely lately and what is leaking
out is that the NSA may still be bugging domestic Email servers and
they saw the hack. Nobody wants to tell us that tho.
I still want to know why this bullshit hack and the release of Emails
concerning things we already know (there are dirty tricks in politics)
is more important than using those resources to stop the criminal
hackers in Russia who take millions or maybe even billions from
Americans every year.
I am a lot more worried about crypto locker crooks than whether
Hillary screwed Bernie last year.

The latest news I've heard is that the hacking of DNC computers may have been done by Russian nationals but not the Russian government. Russian hackers who are not connected with the Russian government or its spook agencies have been hacking into computers all over the world for nefarious reasons and often just out of curiosity. As you wrote, the hackers steal credit card numbers and defraud financial institutions out of millions in whatever currency they managed to poach. There is the British computer hacker Gary McKinnon who broke into a lot of U.S. government computer systems and he's not an agent of the UK. The feds want him because he embarrassed them not because he broke anything. It's the same thing with the Democrats/Commiecrats. The hackers, whoever they are, embarrassed the Democrats/Commiecrats and their poster girl Hitlery Clinton. Russians hackers did not get into voting machines and change the result of the November elections, the American people got into the voting machines and the Democrats/Commiecrats need to get over it, they lost big time. Go Wikileaks! ヽ(•‿•)ノ

Trump did specifically address many of us as his enemies. Even more
bizarre, he did it in his New Year's greeting. He wished his supporters
a Happy New Year, then went on to include talking about the people who
did not vote for him and his "enemies". Very, very bizarre. He;s so
hateful and self-centered, that he can't even put out a normal, positive,
uplifting, unifying New Year's
message. With Nixon, we had to wait many years to learn of the enemies
list. Trump is already freely talking about them.

Trump can't tell anyone his game plan, because he either doesn't have
one, eg replacing Obamacare, or he has conflicting ones, eg deport 11 mil rapists, now they are good people who we need to treat fairly, TBD, etc.

The latest example of his narcissistic personality disorder came today,
when he used Twitter to attack Arnold S and the Apprentice show. He's
exec producer and he attacked the show as no good now, Arnold no good,
because Trump isn't there anymore.

Wake up Trumpets, this is one sick puppy!
