Reinstall Oven Door on Philippine Brand Range Sansio 'Deluxe 5503'

Mfgd. By 'Appliance Systems Corp' ca.1997

Energy Source: LPG

Not accustomed to Asian oven stove doors,
I one-too-many times allowed the oven
door to fly up of its own accord(in this
country oven doors are sprung UP super
tight to keep bugs and other critters out
when the unit is unused.) The door
popped out and landed, thankfully against
ME, instead of the floor where breaking
the heat-tempered glass face might
have resulted.

The problem, as I learned all-too-well, is
that these hinges are sprung so tight as
to not be able to bend/hold them down
at an angle such as to reinsert them into
the accepting openings on the
appliance. Even my own weight plus
a long steel tire-iron could not push those
hinges on the door down far enough or
long enough for them to mate back inside
those openings.

There are springs only in the oven door
itself, none in or near the accepting
openings on the stove.

Repeat: Not an American range
where you can let the oven swing
up by itself, or must lift it shut by
yourself.

Help please! Twenty year old
appliance in perfect working cond.
