Yet we often see cats in our yard that are obviously not feral.
Whenever we spot a cat in the yard, one of us runs outside and
hisses at it until it legs it out of sight.
Leave 'em alone! They keep the vermin at bay.
They kill birds. A while back we had one that killed baby rabbits
for fun.
They don't do squat for vermin. We have possums, raccoons,
groundhogs, gray squirrels, red squirrels, chipmunks, some
sort of mouse, moles, and skunks.
Once in a while I see a fox. I think the coyotes moved into
town, where the pickings are easier.
Those cat owners can just keep the things indoors. If we manage
to trap one, my husband pisses on it and lets it go home.
That's a rather interesting solution.
