PermalinkMy recollection is that hand-tools used to not include any that were
electric.
But that now an electric drill is considered a handtool, I guess, if you
can hold it in your hand, and it's not a drill press. Same with
electric saws etc.
Also I noticed a grave marker store than said all of its memorials were
individually handcrafted. In fact, I'm sure the granite is cut with
some sort of power tool, and I know the engraving is done with a
sand-blaster controlled by a computer. Being the literal guy I am, I
don't think there is much hand-crafting, except maybe joining the base
to the thinner part that goes above it. I would have said individally
made, which is sort of obvious (since you'll never see two that have the
same name and dates on it), but it sounds nice.
Defend or contradict the preceding theses. This will be 1/3 of your
grade.
